FOREIGN BODIES

This series focuses on the intersection between the human-made and natural world. Foreign Bodies, is a collection of looped videos capturing moments where these realms collide, such as plastic bags tangled in trees or roadkill on the pavement. These works act as poetic reminders of the fragility of ecosystems altered by our presence. Using minimal intervention, I document these fleeting interactions with a phone or camera, preserving their raw, unaltered state. The resulting videos are quiet and meditative, inviting viewers to notice subtle details that are often ignored. Building on themes from earlier projects, such as Black Grass, Foreign Bodies deepens my exploration of the tension between nature’s resilience and fragility. Influenced by everyday observations and dystopian stories, the series highlights fragile boundaries, encouraging reflection on our role in maintaining environmental balance.
